Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, beating until combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in melted milk chocolate chips.
- Shape dough into small balls, flatten slightly, and bake on prepared sheets for 10-12 minutes.
- Once cooled, pipe orange and black royal icing to create jack-o’-lantern faces.

- Decorate after cookies are completely cooled to prevent smudging.
