Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup basil pesto
- 1 egg, beaten
- Cherry tomatoes, halved
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into a large triangle, then carefully cut smaller branches from the sides to resemble a Christmas tree shape.
- Spread pesto evenly over the main triangle, avoiding the cut edges.
- Fold the branches slightly outward for a realistic tree shape.
- Brush the pastry with beaten egg to help it golden, then arrange cherry tomato halves on top.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Garnish with grated Parmesan and fresh basil leaves before serving.
Notes
