- 1 lb (450g) boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
- Add garlic and ginger, cook for another minute.
- Stir in spices: garam masala, turmeric, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper; cook for 30 seconds to release flavors.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
- Pour in tomato puree and simmer for 10 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens.
- Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 2 minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For added richness, add a tablespoon of yogurt or cream at the end.
- Serve with steamed rice or naan bread for a complete meal.
