- 1 whole turkey (12-14 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage)
- 1 lemon, halved
- 4 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Pat turkey dry and rub with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Stuff the cavity with herbs and lemon halves.
- Place on a roasting pan, tent loosely with foil, and roast for about 13 minutes per pound, basting occasionally.
- Remove foil during the last 30 minutes for crispy skin, and ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest 20 minutes before carving and serving.
