- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually add flour and baking powder, mixing until combined.
- Divide dough into two portions. Tint one with green food coloring and the other with red if desired.
- Roll green dough into balls and flatten slightly onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Decorate with red candy pieces for the eyes and other festive details.

- Chill dough for 30 minutes for easier handling.
