- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh herbs (parsley, thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Form into 12 meatballs.
- In a skillet, brown meatballs on all sides over medium heat. Transfer to baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.
- In the same skillet, whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until thickened. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer in gravy for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, boil potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with butter, milk, garlic, and herbs until smooth and creamy.
- Serve meatballs with gravy alongside mashed potatoes garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine to the gravy.
- Use fresh herbs for a vibrant taste.
