- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 slices ham
- 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into four squares.
- Place each square on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each.
- Top with ham slices and grated cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, fry eggs sunny side up in a non-stick skillet.
- Remove baked pastries from oven and carefully top each with a fried egg.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a dash of black pepper or paprika on top of eggs.
- You can prepare the pastries ahead and reheat briefly before adding the fried eggs.
