Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and diced onion; cook until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add broken noodles and cook until al dente, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in shredded mozzarella cheese until melted. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
