- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let sit 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until combined and knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and roll into a rectangle.
- Sprinkle shredded cheeses, garlic powder, and oregano evenly over the dough.
- Roll up the dough into a log and place in a greased baking dish.
- Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
